It is a good idea to make sure the pet costume fit and isn’t too loose or to tight . Let your pet wear the costume around before Halloween night so that he or she gets used it. You can also see how your pet is going to react to the cat costume or dog costume. Some may tolerate wearing a hat, cap, or something on their head, but others may run around trying to get it off.
You should also consider what type of material the costume is made of. If the dog is going to be in a warm place, use a lightweight fabric or if it is going to be out in the cold, a heavier fabric may be appropriate.
Be careful when using accessories. You don’t want to use anything you pet may catch on something else. Things like beads or necklaces may get caught on furniture or stepped on by the two legged trick or treaters.
