Pet costumes for my doggie duo?
I’m entering a pet costume contest soon an need some ideas for my dogs. I have a sheltie and a corgi. I want them to match and be a part of a theme (e.g. a dragon and a knight,) but I need some ideas! Any suggestions? Any advice on how to make them?

how about
a bride and groom
shrek and donkey
bert and ernie (sesame street)
kermit & miss piggy
for shrek i would look for a similar outfit in the kids and babies section and just basicly modify it to fit the dog. then take green fabric or maybe some temp spray on hair color and color the exposed fur green and take green pipe cleaners and shape the shrek ears and attach to outfit.
good luck and hope u win!
I have entered a few myself with my dog and i find what wins is a costume that nobody expects lick a cat or a tv something strange or something cute like dressing them with sunglasses a furry scarf a buttoned top and a handbag.
Get a drangon and night coustume. Get the Sheltie to be the dragon and the corgi to be the night. And you should dress up a princesess.
I have a small blind dog and i put him in a basket and dressed up as Dorthey and ToTo from "The wizard of Oz".
i think u need to groom dem..:P den…if they were girl…clip is needed.. and a veryy cute dress
tnx..

policeman and a prisoner…. wich and a wisard….batman and robin
I realize I’m way later in answering this than everyone else, but I wanted to say that I think a sheltie as a dragon and a corgi as a knight would be adorable. The sheltie has to be the dragon because he (or she) has the tail. And I can picture the corgi with a little cloth helmet and a fake sword around the waist.
It could also be fun to dress the corgi as a bat, since they’ve got those big ears. Not sure what the sheltie could be then…maybe a spider?
Just be sure that whatever costume you buy or make isn’t restrictive and doesn’t block their vision. See more about this here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1031826/important_pet_safety_tips_for_halloween.html?cat=53
Also, here are a couple sites that have sewing pattens for pet costumes. Maybe they’ll help.
